THE ROLE
The Lead Host is essentially the face of the restaurant and must be available every Friday and Saturday evening.
The guest service and energy the hosts show the moment the guests walk through the doors can shape their entire experience here at Tangled Roots.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE
- Overseeing the host stand during peak hours and ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.
- Oversee all aspects new-hire and on-going host training
- Observe host team members' service standards and communicate observations to Management
- Training and assigning tasks to other hosts, ensuring they follow proper procedures and maintain Small Town Hospitality service
- Use proper phone and voicemail etiquette and guidelines
- Assist with clearing, cleaning and resetting tables and maintaining restrooms
- Greeting the guests, the moment the enter the doors
- Answer phone call or in person reservations
- Handle general phone calls and transfers
- Answer guests’ questions pertaining to the restaurant and the menu
- Assist wait staff as needed
- Providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas.
- Ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.
- Address any complaints to help resolve them
- Obtain knowledge of the beer, wine, and food menu
- Assist other individuals as needed
- Up-keep on the cleanliness of the restrooms and keep them stocked
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
- Serve Safe Certificate within 2 weeks of employment.
- Availability on Friday and Saturday afternoon / evenings.
