Essential Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly cost allocations for products utilized by providers.
- Evaluate reimbursement rates and associated costs to ensure profitability.
- Perform pooling calculations while adhering to Stark Law compliance requirements.
- Review invoices and collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure cost lists are accurate and up-to-date.
- Monitor and track rebate eligibility for specialty pharmaceuticals.
- Conduct detailed cost analyses on medical procedures to properly cost account expenses.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in accounting or 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong Excel spreadsheet software skills
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, detail oriented and professional
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
Knowledge
- Knowledge of accounting systems and the generally accepted accounting principles
- Knowledge of basic mathematics
- Competency with EMR practice management systems
- Excellent Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills with both internal and external customers
- Good organization skills and keen attention to detail
- Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
- Position is in a well-lighted office environment
- Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder
