What are the responsibilities and job description for the Decision Support Analyst - Accounting (Days) position at Tanner Health System?
Under the supervision of the Decision Support Manager, the Decision Support Analyst will be part of a team to develop and maintain the health system's decision support systems in an accurate and timely manner. They will be cross-trained in all aspects of Decision Support systems including Cost Accounting, Productivity, Budgeting, Meditech, and all other applications. The Decision Support Analyst will also assist with the annual budget process including educating and training staff.
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Experience
Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform at best on a consistent basis and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to prioritize job duties in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with detailed information where errors are not easily detected.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to teach classes, do presentations, and educate all staff at all skill levels.
- Strong information systems skills and ability to navigate software programs easily and identify data integrity issues with data.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact as a liaison between the Accounting department and customers both internal and external.

Compliance Statement
Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.
