Duties : POSITION OVERVIEW : The Communications Specialist will provide strategic communications consultation and guidance to various clients. The Specialist will plan, drive, implement, monitor, and measure results of communications plans to advance Client mission, strategic plan, and business objectives. The Specialist has strong skills in the field of communications, media relations, social media, digital, news and / or staff engagement communications activities. Demonstrates a strong understanding of the communications discipline along with critical thinking and strategic counseling skills. Represents Client internally and externally. Demonstrates project management skills and the ability to manage projects through the entire project life cycle. Demonstrates strong writing, editing, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proactively seeks opportunities to build and improve positive relationships with colleagues, leaders, and experts. Understands and acts independently to drive functional strategies forward to advance Client mission, strategic plan, and business goals. Builds credibility with peers and internal stakeholders. Assesses opportunities for improvements, and demonstrates willingness and ability to adapt to change.
Skills : ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE AND / OR QUALIFICATIONS :
- Broad based knowledge of communications marketing strategies.
- Requires strong leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, active listening, persuasive, oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
- Proven communications consultative, planning and execution abilities.
- Must be able to work effectively in a consensus-style and collaborative environment that expects and promotes teamwork.

Education : MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : A bachelor's degree in a related field, which may include liberal arts, business, communications, marketing, healthcare, or similar field, plus 3 years professional experience in a relevant field.
Schedule Notes : This will be a 40 hours a week position and include some onsite support. Hours should be flexible but mainly 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM. Hours of flexibility will be for onsite meetings / retreats.
Responsibilities :
Provide strategic communications consultation and guidance to various department chairs, operation managers, Allied Health Supervisors.
Plan, drive, implement, monitor, and measure results of communications plans to advance CV's mission, strategic plan, and business objectives.
Engage in both internal and external communications.
Support communications departmentally and institutionally for projects within CV through entire project life cycle
Proactively seeks opportunities
Can independently understand and act on strategies that advance missions for the Department of CV.
Demonstrates willingness and ability to adapt as needed to change.
Maintain and update CV Newsletter to a modern format
