Overview
In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a federal client. You will oversee the planning and delivery of products to business stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are met. Your role will require a solid understanding of the technical aspects of the project, including software design and database complexities, while proactively addressing both technical and business challenges to ensure alignment with project goals. You will collaborate with other Project Managers and report to a Program Manager. Additionally, you will manage performance, quality, and technical support as needed, while engaging directly with customer stakeholders, development teams, and end-users to ensure smooth project execution and support.
Location : Hybrid role in Bethesda, MD.
Clearance : This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to pass a background check.
What You'll Do
Project Management tasks include, but are not limited to :
- Lead technical staff on multiple complex software development projects.
- Assess technology solutions and provide recommendations.
- Ensure effective change control and configuration management to maintain consistency, maintainability, and reliability.
- Analyze complex, interrelated projects, assess risks, and recommend solutions for difficult problems.
- Identify and apply architectural standards and principles to promote standardization, reuse, and minimize incompatibility issues across the application portfolio.
- Prepare detailed project plans, including deliverables, due dates, responsible resources, level of effort, and budget projections.
- Perform biweekly assessments and report on project progress, risks, and impact on cost and timelines.
- Provide Monthly Admin Reports as outlined in the Deliverable Table, Section 5, in the formats provided by the government.
