MENTAL HEALTH REHABILITATION SPECIALIST
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) is employed to provide direct behavioral guidance and support services to adults and children who are participating in Tapestry Family Services programs. Under the supervision of the Rehab Manager or Supervisor, with oversight from Clinical Director and lead therapist, and as indicated in each client’s Treatment Plan, the MHRS provides/facilitates individual and group rehabilitation services for individual and small groups of clients participating in Mental Health Rehabilitation Services, In-Home Behavioral Services and Intensive Care Coordination Services. Services are provided at Tapestry facilities, in the home and in the community. Services include, but are not limited to, facilitating groups, helping to stabilize the client, instructing and guiding client in the accomplishment of the goals of their individual plans, implementing behavioral interventions, facilitating the participation of the client in therapeutic services, helping to structure a safe environment for clients, making collateral contacts between the families and the community and guiding/participating in activities necessary to assist in the implementation of the Treatment Plan or Foster Care Needs & Services Plan for children. The MHRS drives to and from sessions and transports clients to related activities.
This position requires flexibility in scheduling. The services will vary according to each clients needs and changing circumstances.
The MHRS participates in the Tapestry Family Services Treatment Team, and in that role may have responsibility for participation in the review and monitoring of Treatment Plans.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATONS:
Master's Degree in a mental health related field and two (2) years' experience in a mental health setting, OR
Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field and four (4) years' experience in a mental health setting, OR
Associate Arts Degree in a mental health related field and six (6) years' experience in a mental health setting.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Clear background check with DOJ, CACI, FBI, Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout, required trainings post start date.
Medical conditions of employment: Obtain TB Test and Physical at time of offer.
