Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, focusing on acute and critical care situations. You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex health issues. Your expertise in patient care will be essential in delivering comprehensive treatment plans and ensuring optimal outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical findings.
- Perform procedures such as Central line, HD catheters, arterial lines, thoracentesis, etc.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient management.
- Assist in sterile processing of medical equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Utilize EPIC software for electronic health records management.
- Educate patients on family planning options and provide appropriate resources.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, particularly in acute or critical care environments.
- Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly EPIC is a plus.
