What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Administrator position at Targa Resources Careers?
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embodies integrity, accountability, initiative, and respect in all correspondence and tasks performed
- Responsible for ensuring goods and services are proactively, accurately, and promptly requisitioned in Oracle Financials Cloud (OFC) and IBM Maximo to meet stakeholder requirements
- Frequently communicates with stakeholders to ensure accurate, prompt, and properly-documented goods and services receiving is processed in OFC and Maximo
- Reviews invoices to assure alignment with work orders, construction contracts, quotes, and/or contractor rate sheets
- Responsible for financially closing out open purchase orders (PO’s) and projects (AFE’s), engaging with 3rd party material and service suppliers as required
- Works with assigned Engineering & Construction Project Managers to provide project controls assistance, which may include cost tracking, progress reporting, scheduling, forecasting, and look-backs.
- Monitors Supply Chain and Engineering & Construction Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, including invoice holds and After-the-Fact PO’s, and continuously identifies opportunities to improve
- Serves as point of contact between Supply Chain and Engineering & Construction to communicate procurement processes and updates
- Works on special projects and/or tasks as assigned; proactively seeks opportunities to learn and develop and to find solutions for maximizing value to Targa
- Participates in safety and compliance training, as applicable
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to prioritize work schedule and execute job tasks with minimum supervision
- Work constructively and professionally in an office environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license and safe driving record
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside the company
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills with high degree of professionalism
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, and other applicable computer software
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Capable of documenting processes used to complete routine tasks
- Regular and reliable office attendance
