What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Tarkett?
Plan, direct, monitor, and coordinate projects from bidding to completion. Manage all activities from bid submission, production, installation, and dispatch (closing) of awarded projects. The position requires a high level of collaboration with other key departments, i.e. Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, Production, Logistics, Technical, Indoor Sales, AR, AP, and Customer Service.
The Project Manager is primarily responsible for achieving success in managing the customer, scope, schedule and budget of their assigned project(s). Working with a sense of urgency at all times is required to remain in a proactive position of normal operation. The Project Manager is typically in charge of Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning related scopes of work. Engineering includes all areas of design from conceptual through construction documents. Procurement includes the complete process of soliciting qualified quotations, contracting/purchasing, and shipping/delivery coordination of goods and services. Commissioning typically includes inspection, start-up, testing, customer acceptance and close-out document submittal activities. The Project Manager will be responsible for understanding all details of the projects and how they support the overall business strategy. Develop collaborative working relationships with business partners and senior-level leadership through effective communication and delivering world-class customer service to the customer, internal, and external clients. Work directly Owners, General contractors, Construction Managers, Architects, and others associated with a project. The Project Manager will communicate directly to SmartBuy for COOP related projects. The position requires strong communication skills with customers, architects, engineers, and suppliers.

Technical aptitude and strong computer skills, with the ability to maneuver through several operating systems. Must have strong work ethic, be well organized, and reliable. - Estimating, Submittals, Change Orders, and Closeout Documents.

- Maintain or improve project margins.
