Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in English and writing programs.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods, technologies, and pedagogical approaches.
- Oversee the First-Year Writing Program and Writing Intensive Program.
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate course offerings, share resources, and contribute to program development and improvement.
- Participate in institutional service roles, including college committees, advisory committees, student/faculty recruitment, and mentoring of new and part-time faculty.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline from an accredited university.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- PhD in English or related field, with a specialization in Writing Studies.
- 2 or more years of experience with administering a first-year writing program or a writing center.
