As a Professor of English and Writing Program Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the First-Year Writing Program and Writing Intensive Program, developing curriculum and assessments, and mentoring students in their academic and research endeavors. You will also contribute to departmental service roles, including committee work, student recruitment, and program development.

Essential Duties:
- 60% Teaching and Service:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or laboratory offerings to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments such as exams, quizzes, papers, etc.
- Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate student learning outcomes to inform teaching practices and curriculum improvements.
- 20% Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity:
- Maintain an active agenda for research, scholarship, or creative activity appropriate to the applicants academic discipline.
- Make original contributions to the advancement of knowledge/creative expression in the applicants discipline through scholarly publication, presentation, or exhibition.
- 20% Administrative:
- Oversee First-Year Writing Program and Writing Intensive Program.
- Work in partnership with the Coordinator to develop meetings with faculty, and to mentor and evaluate online faculty and to mentor new faculty.
