Overview
The Ready to Learn Coordinator is responsible for the daily oversight of student and school feeding services and children’s nutrition and education services, ranging from Pre-K to college/university.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Ready to Learn Manager to implement an integrated youth services strategic plan with quarterly accountabilities to support TAFB’s hunger-relief priorities
- Conduct regular on-site monitoring visits to member agencies to audit and ensure compliance with Feeding America and Tarrant Area Food Bank
- Ensure adequate records for RTL partner agency files are maintained and up to date, including paper files, electronic files, and information kept in Ceres and Blackbaud
- Coordinate Civil Rights Training for schools, provide training as needed, and document its completion in RTL partner files
- Implement youth education services and initiatives
- Train and support host sites and community partners to achieve program goals
- Support onboard of in-school markets in 13-county service area
- Network, collaborate, and engage with other community organizations that support youth well-being initiatives
- Serve as a volunteer lead for direct education services as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in client service and/or with children
Technical Proficiencies
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Communication Skills
Excellence in speaking, writing and presenting information; ability to speak effectively with a diverse audience and respond to inquiries and complaints in a tactful and helpful manner
Other Competencies
Knowledge of workplace safety best practices; organizational and problem-solving skills; compassion for our mission
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Work in an office and warehouse environment and occasionally at outdoor events.
This position requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, crouching, digging and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds
Frequent travel to service areas; must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance (mileage reimbursement provided)
Requires work schedule flexibility with occasional weekend and evening availability
