Essential Performance Requirements*
- Ensures Tarrant County College (TCC) compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations, federal and state reports, financial aid procedures, and audit requirements
- Maintains knowledge of new or changing financial aid regulations; develops and modifies procedures and standards accordingly; incorporates guidelines and trends into the College financial aid programs
- Creates workflow processes in campus Student Financial Aid Services to maximize staff efficiencies and manage peak demands for financial aid services
- Oversees the development of training programs for procedures within the scope of the office responsibilities
- Provides support to campus Student Services Departments and Administration in the area of Financial Aid
- Provides support to Tarrant County Independent School districts and other constituents in the area of Financial Aid
- Delivers Financial Aid presentations to current and prospective students, parents, and TCC staff
- Provides campus ad-hoc financial aid data requests
- Assists with the short and long-term planning process for Student Financial Aid Services
- Participates as a member of Student Financial Aid Services’ Leadership Team
- Provides leadership for all assigned direct reports
- Providing direction, on-going monitoring, and support for personnel management, evaluation, and development of tasks for direct reports
- Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

- Performs Other Related Tasks as Required
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five (5) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
- Three (3) years’ experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others)
- At least one (1) year’s working experience in a community college, university, non-profit, or government agency Financial Aid Office
- At least one (1) year’s working experience administering Financial Aid Programs specifically for the state of Texas, including Financial Aid Database reporting
- Knowledge of Federal and State Financial Aid programs and regulations
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
- Skilled using Financial Aid Computer Systems, computer applications, and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly ensuring accurate and timely completion, while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
- Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
