Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Assist students and prospective students in person, by phone, and in writing; provides instructions based on Tarrant County College (TCC) policies and procedures
- Keys reports, business correspondence, applications, and other specialized forms into student information system and makes copies of completed work
- Maintains knowledge of state regulations and TCC policies and procedures and applies this knowledge to the application process
- Processes applications and enters data into the TCC System and processes readmission requests, updating demographic information, academic history, and academic status
- Processes Community Education (CE) & Lifestyle & Community Learning (LCL) registrations
- Processes documents regarding residency, meningitis shot records, course changes, tuition exemptions/waivers, Texas Success Initiative (TSI), and class reinstatements
- Receives and processes incoming high school transcripts; verifies graduation status, inputs GPA; analyzes test scores to determine eligibility to be exempt from testing
- Scans and retrieves documents, files records and reports, posts information to records, sorts and distributes mail, answers phones, and other duties according to the responsibilities of the assigned office
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Works under the general supervision of the assigned campus or district leader
- Performs Other Related Tasks as Required
Required Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year’s working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
- Associate’s degree or 60 college hours completed
- At least one (1) year’s working experience using the Colleague Student Information System
- At least one (1) year’s working experience in higher education in admissions, registrar, veteran affairs, financial aid, and/or business services/student accounts
- At least one (1) year’s working experience with dual enrollment students and/or continuing education students
- Multilingual
- Knowledge of THECB rules regarding residency, meningitis shot records, tuition exemptions/waivers, and Texas Success Initiative (TSI)
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
- Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
