- Plan repairs, building or remodeling projects accordingly. Orders needed supplies
- Performs remodeling tasks for County buildings which may include one of the following skill sets being used by the incumbent: painting, carpentry or electrical work
- Repairs and maintains HVAC systems and associated building equipment
- Assist with moving furniture and office equipment
- Sets up furniture in specific configurations for special events
- Performs plumbing repairs
- Assists and supervises the work of contractors and vendors
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED Two (2) full-time years experience in building maintenance operations. (Full-time = 2,080 work hours per year).
- Must have working knowledge of commercial building operations, life safety systems, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
THIS POSITION MAY REQUIRE OVERTIME, ROTATING SHIFTS, NIGHTS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAY WORK.

Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to climb, walk, lift, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, push and pull. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and/or electrical hazards. Exposed to outside weather conditions on an occasional basis. This position may require overtime, rotating shifts nights, evenings, weekends and holiday work. Candidates must have the ability to pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.Salary : $20 - $22
