- Coordinates, schedules, monitors, and evaluates workflow and work product of employees. Plans, assigns, and is responsible for monitoring the daily workload of team members.
- Evaluates performance of subordinates, identifies strengths and weaknesses, provides employees development guidance and motivation, or makes recommendations for advancement and replacement when appropriate. Provides training to staff members as required.
- Acts as a resource for staff questions regarding customer issues policies, etc.
- Coordinates activities with other departments to expedite work and improve performance.
- Performs quality reviews and audits of department's work and makes operation corrections as necessary. Establishes and enforces procedures to expedite and improve processes.
- Participates in personnel matters including disciplinary actions and resolution of departmental disputes.
- Compiles complex monthly statistical reports for distribution to Austin.
- Oversees attorney docket mail out for timely mail out.
- Implements and oversees administrative writs, e-Filing, and scanning programs.
- Supervises juvenile clerks at offsite locations and oversees the implementation of programs in the IV-D and Juvenile courts.
- Monitors leave time and approves time sheet entries.
- Reviews and tracks legislative bills to determine the impact on the Family Law section as required by management.
- Maintains supply inventory and equipment and orders as needed. Purchasing responsibilities include preparation of requisitions and ascertaining of prices and vendors.
- Processes all judicial by-pass cases, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
- Assumes the duties of Family Manager in their absence and may perform duties of subordinates in their absence as required by workload. Assists the District Clerk, Operations Manager, and Family Manager with special projects, assignments, and reports.
- Responsible for the security (safekeeping) of the cash drawer fund and monies received. Verifies monies deposited, ascertaining that receipts and monies balance. Maintains a detailed money drawer control sheet each day and ensures compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Assists system analyst with the design, development, and testing of programs needed or any modification to current programs. Designs and maintains intranet web page.
- Monitors new exhibit program.
- Provides direct management for records and project scanners.
- Inputs Family Law's statistical information on the District Clerk's website.
- Confirms and verifies balances of all electronic fund transfers associated with depository bank and fax filing accounts.
- Submits budgeting input for the Family Law Division and assists in the preparation of District Clerk's office estimated revenues.
- Verifies and reviews all credit card receipts and daily credit card processing.
- Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of the District Clerk's office as assigned or required including cross-training in other areas of the office as determined by senior management.
