What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROBATE ASSISTANT MANAGER, County Clerk position at Tarrant County?
2. Provides comprehensive training program for subordinates, including preparing, analyzing, designing and validating training programs.
3. Provides on-going support and guidance to subordinates unable to formulate solutions to problems and unusual situations themselves.
4. Assists in interviewing applicants and makes recommendations concerning hiring, promotions, demotions, and terminations.
5. Ensures compliance with all rules and statutes by researching and reviewing new legislation.
6. Recommends, develops, and implements improved operations procedures. Evaluates emerging technology to assess suitability for probate clerk applications.
7. Works closely with the Automation division to develop applications to enhance results and automate procedures.
8. Monitors monetary transactions and procedures performed by subordinates to ensure compliance with County Clerk and County Auditor policies.
9. Utilizing reports and statistics generated in-house and by the Information Technology department, analyzes problem areas and determines methods for resolution.
10. Establishes and maintains communication with other county, state, and municipal agencies to gain cooperation for mutual benefit.
11. Formulates future goals and anticipants budget needs.
12. Maintains closed files on Private Professional Guardians and reports annually to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
13. Responsible for the accuracy and acceptance of filing Delayed Birth and Death Certificates with supporting documentation.
14. Oversees the images process as well as establishing procedures.
15. Recommends fee and statute changes to be submitted to the legislature.
16. Represents the County Clerk at conferences, seminars and meetings.
17. Assists the County Clerk and Operations Manager with special projects.
18. Monitors and reports to the Civil Manager any forms, supplies or equipment needed.
19. Responsible for the Trust/Court Registry deposits.
20. Maintains administrative file of original orders from the presiding statutory judge of Texas.
21. Assumes the duties of the Civil Manager in his or her absence.
22. Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of the business as assigned or required
Must have an Associate’s degree four (4) full-time years of work experience in a legal/judicial setting (i.e. law office, court or legal department of a business) including at least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience. -or-
Must have a High School Degree or GED six (6) full-time years of work experience in a legal/judicial setting (i.e. law office, court or legal department of a business) including at least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience
Experience with PC applications, Microsoft Office preferred.
Requires exceptional oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, familiarity with legal definitions and language, as well as leadership and organizational abilities.
Must be bondable.
Valid driver’s license.

Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudications in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
Salary : $66,485 - $73,133
