Recovery Aide II
Under the supervision of the Tarry House Manager of Programs, the Tarry House Recovery Aide II (RAII) provides Recovery Aide duties in a treatment home such as assisting residents with cleaning, cooking, medication monitoring and running paraprofessional groups. Will also transport persons served as needed. Duties also include assisting with shopping, menu planning, medication check in, intakes, orientation of new residents and discharge planning as needed. The RA II will be responsible to make sure shifts are covered and will help train new workers. The Recovery Aide II may be asked to go to community meetings as needed, representing Tarry House. The RA II will be on-call 1-2 times per month for a week at a time at both sites.
Applicants must have a good driving record. A current driver’s license, a dependable car and automobile insurance. Ability to work autonomously is a must. Good computer skills are also very important. A post high school technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred. But a person with a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least 5-years working with adults with mental illnesses will be considered. Must pass a background check, physical, drug and alcohol and TB screenings. This is a full-time position mostly Monday – Friday and day shift with some flexibility due to on call responsibilities. .
