What The Role Entails

TKD is seeking a self-driven and eager Collection Supervisor to join our team! As a Collection Supervisor at TKD, your major duty will be to contact clients and collect overlooked and outstanding payments. This position will report directly to the Controller and CFO.

Essential Responsibilities Include

  • Responsible for all correspondence in the accounts receivable inbox, respond in a timely and professional manner.
  • Take action in order to encourage timely payments.
  • Contact clients for payment via email, phone calls and discuss their overdue payments.
  • Keep records of all collection activities and account status using the LMS management notes.
  • Identify aging account receivables.
  • Investigate historical data for debts and bills.
  • Supervise Collections Specialist.
  • Prepare and present reports on collection activities weekly.
  • Process Credit Card and ACH payments.
  • Responsible for cash receipt applications (Wires, Ach, Checks, Credit Cards).
  • Negotiate settlements.
  • Communicate with insurance agencies to streamline collection procedures/policies (Nationwide, Serengeti).
  • Track evergreen retainer payments.
  • Undertake administrative duties like mailing out reminder statements, balance write offs and processing memos.

Qualifications and skills:

  • College education required, major in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Confidence in ability to reach collection goals set by the Controller and CFO.
  • Always exhibits professionalism and strikes a balance between maintaining trustful relationships with our attorneys and clients and ensuring timely payments to the firm.
  • Polished and highly organized with exceptional customer relations skills.
  • Knowledge of various collection techniques.
  • Comfortable working with targets.
  • Knowledge of collection laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and other software tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, efficiency and reliability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A "can do" attitude and a positive team player mentality.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook a must.
  • Previous law firm experience a plus.

TKD is currently maintaining a hybrid schedule structured as Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in-office with alternating Thursdays and the option to be remote Fridays.

Compensation & Benefits

The good faith base annual salary range for this position is a minimum $80,000 to a maximum of $115,000. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, applicable education/certification(s), office location, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
