What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Assessment Specialist I position at Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc?
Woodland Hills SUD OP program is seeking a full time Registered or Certified Counselor to complete admission assessments into our Woodland Hills Outpatient Program. Assessments will be conducted utilizing the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria to assess for proper level of care. Staff will work in collaboration with LPHA to make final determination on patient's level of care, along with apply for initial authorization with SAPC, and complete note for SAPC reviewer to ensure approval of authorization. Ideal candidate will have experience with ASAM and a working knowledge of the six dimensions and an understanding of levels of care in a SUD treatment setting. Candidate will need to have an understanding and/or working knowledge of mental health diagnosis and conditions, along with familiarity with medi-cal terminology and financial eligibility. Experience with ASAM / SAPC Authorizations / and Medi-Cal is preferred but not required. Applicant must be registered or certified with CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP in order to move forward in hiring process.
