What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Assessment Specialist I position at Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc?
Full-time position providing alcohol/drug assessment services to patients seeking admission to Tarzana Treatment Centers Youth Outpatient program and conducting the admission. Candidates should have excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills, and computer skills. Must be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task. Duties include gathering benefits eligibility information from patients, processing patient enrollments and re-enrollments in healthcare programs, providing patients with education about benefits, manage appointment calendars, and scheduling appointments. Applicants familiar with processing eligibility, treatment authorization requests, tracking Medicare and Medi-Cal share of cost, electronic billing for SAPC and other entities, remittances, accounts receivable, and denials are strongly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with alcohol/drug treatment services and placement criteria is a plus. Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly encouraged to apply.
Position requires the following: 1- enrollment in or completion of an academic addictions studies program 2- Registration and/or certification with one of the SAPC-approved state-wide certification entities. A high school diploma (or GED) minimum is required.
