What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Medical Director position at Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc?
Provide psychiatric oversight for a 60 bed inpatient psychiatric hospital in Tarzana, California. This is primarily a management position with some direct service. Attend treatment planning meetings, review psychiatric evaluations, consult with unit and senior management, and sit on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics and Medical Staff Executive Committees. Hours somewhat flexible and requires 8-10 hours a week. Can increase hours if want to do more direct service. All patients are voluntary admissions and much of the unit is used for detox. Must be Board Certified in Psychiatry and prefer additional certification in Addiction Medicine or an interest in addiction treatment.
