Role : Assistant Financial Controller
As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing both the accounting operations and financial planning & analysis functions. This position combines traditional accounting responsibilities with forward-looking financial analysis and strategic planning, reporting directly to the Controller with significant exposure to the CFO.
What you'll do :
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
- Manage and review account reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheet accounts and tax requests / payments
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal control procedures
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
- Supervise accounting / shared services staff and review their work for accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with IT to enhance financial systems and automate manual processes
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as needed
- Assist FP&A team with business partnering and forecasting
