Purpose of the Role:

The Sr. Manager, Mobility Core Services will drive Tata Communications’ sales strategy for Mobility services across the Americas, collaborating closely with internal teams such as product, engineering, and solutions to enhance market presence, manage the sales funnel, and achieve revenue growth. The role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on sales management to deliver solutions that align with client needs and company objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Planning

  • Customer Engagement: Manage both hunting and farming of customer relationships to create sales pipelines for Mobility Services.
  • Solution Development: Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to design integrated solution architectures across multiple products/services, ensuring they meet client requirements.
  • Mobility Expertise: Provide domain expertise in Mobility Services, evangelizing Tata Communications' value proposition to clients and partners.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical expert on solutions design, development, and implementation, ensuring solutions align with business needs across multiple platforms and systems.
  • Sales Support: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer personnel and industry peers to drive business opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Operations) to implement the “One Tata Communications” strategy and achieve consensus on solution development.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor the regional telecom environment, regulatory changes, and market trends to keep leadership informed and support strategic product positioning.
  • Account Management: Develop detailed account plans, collaborating with senior management to drive successful customer engagements.

Business Development

  • New Business Generation: Proactively hunt for new opportunities and win business from existing clients.
  • Churn Management: Enhance customer relationships to reduce churn by proactively managing client expectations and delivering value.
  • Solution Selling: Deeply understand the client's business, strategies, and trends to tailor solutions and propose relevant services.
  • Contract Management: Manage bid and contract responses professionally and consistently, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.

Market & Product Knowledge

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Track and analyze industry regulations and legal nuances across global markets, ensuring compliance and optimal positioning for Mobility services.
  • Product Lifecycle Input: Support product teams throughout the product development lifecycle, providing customer insights to influence product features and enhancements.

You Will Be Accountable For"

  • Achieving Sales Targets: Meet and exceed yearly sales quotas of $2 million for Mobility services across the Americas region.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensuring the successful and timely delivery of solutions that match customer objectives and drive satisfaction.
  • Market Leadership: Providing market intelligence to the company to support product development and positioning.
  • Revenue Growth: Successfully managing customer relationships to enhance current revenue streams and identify new opportunities for growth.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: 10 years in the telecom industry, with deep expertise in Mobility Core products (e.g., SCCP, Diameter Signaling Exchange, IPX/GRX, VoLTE, 5G, Mobile VAS).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the business dynamics, trends, and Mobility use cases.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to engage with decision-makers in MNOs, MVNOs, and enterprise sectors, fostering long-term relationships and driving business success.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Solid understanding of telecom regulations and legal frameworks.
  • Sales & Solutions: Experience in solutions sales and operations, with a track record of successful customer engagements and complex sales cycles.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English & Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.


Base Salary Range: $114,970 - $150,898. The salary may be adjusted within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and the specific needs of the position

Other Compensation: The position is eligible to participate in a sales-based incentive program
