Program Analyst
Job Summary
Thomas Steel Strip Corporation is searching for a Program Analyst at our Warren, Ohio facility.
Since its founding in 1923, Thomas Steel Strip has been one of the most innovative companies in the field of electroplated cold-rolled strip. Thomas Steel Strip today supplies a wide range of Nickel and Nickel Zinc plated cold-rolled strip products. We have an extremely stable customer base that is growing rapidly.
Responsibilities:
· Act as technical expert and primary resource for development, upgrades, maintenance, and training in the IMCS production environment.
· Ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
· Stay current with information technologies and recommend enhancements to the environment.
· Stay abreast of business initiatives and make recommendations where information technology could be a beneficial tool.
· Aid in the identification of system solutions and development of design specifications.
· Code, test, debug, and deploy system solutions to support business functions.
· Prepare user and technical documentation in a manner consistent with department standards.
· Follow established programming standards.
· Participate in program design reviews, code reviews and training of system users
· Provide on-call support for production systems on a rotating basis.
· Provide support in establishing and meeting departmental objectives.
· Provide support to senior personnel in coordinating implementation efforts and resolving issues.
· Working independently and/or as a project team member based on specific project needs.
Qualifications:
· Management Information Systems, or related degree.
· Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; emphasis on technical writing.
· Willingness to continually learn new concepts.
· Experience with relational database systems.
· Knowledge of system development life cycle concepts and methods.
· Experience with one or more programming languages such as C, C and/or C# .NET.
Desired Skills:
· 1-2 Years experience.
· Knowledge of business functions.
· Project management skills.
· Proficiency in SAS software suite.
· Experience with Ingres, MS SQL Server.
· Familiarity with SQL.
· DBA experience.
· Proficiency in UNIX (AIX).
· SAP experience.
· Experience with Zebra printers and ZPL.
· Experience with barcode scanners.
· Understanding of statistical tools and techniques.
· Understanding of Six Sigma concepts.
· Basic Network Knowledge
· Basic Active Directory Knowledge (Users and Computers & GPOs)
· Familiarity with Scada Software (Wonderware InTouch, FactoryTalk View)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
