What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwork Install Foreman position at Tate Ornamental, Inc?
The Millwork Install Foreman is responsible for overseeing a crew and the installation of Paint Grade, Plastic Laminate and Veneer Casework along with Paint and Stain Grade Trim and Panels, Ornamental Metal and Solid Surface countertops. This position must provide excellent customer service, adhere to proper safety rules and regulations, ensure quality installation, and completion of projects in an efficient but accurate manner. A positive attitude, excellent attendance and punctuality skills are the key to success in this role!
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Oversees crew.
- Minimal travel requirements.
- Communicate with Superintendent and Install Manager on manpower needs.
- Communicate daily with on site GC regarding flow of work, other trade needs and issues.
- Attends on site GC weekly and coordination/schedule meetings.
- Manage on site crew to meet install budget.
- Daily Reports on PlanGrid along with any Extra Work Tickets.
- Daily Check-in and out of manpower to Installation Manager.
- Communicate in a timely manner with PM and Install Manager on material needs to complete.
- Upkeep of Tate vehicle along with keeping tools and supplies stocked and in working order.
- Assists with installation.
- Operates hand tools and specialty tools and material handling equipment as needed.
- Ongoing training of Installers.
- Conforms with state and company safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work well with others on a team
- Read and understand construction drawings
- Work within PlanGrid, ProCore, Bim360 and BlueBeam
- Strong knowledge of safe operation of construction tools, i.e. table saw, miter saw, router, drill etc.
- Strong attention to details
- Skillful multi-tasker
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a foreman or lead on Millwork Install team.
- Forklift and Lull certification, required.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Commercial construction experience and knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be willing to travel to various job sites.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
