About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineer for our Mechanical Engineering department. This position can be based out of our Collingwood, Barrie or Guelph office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete mechanical engineering designs and projects serving various sectors, including Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, and Municipal Buildings.
- Design mechanical systems for buildings, condition assessments of existing systems, report writing, performing site inspections, and providing direction to contractors.
- Mentor junior staff, manage projects, and develop business opportunities.
- Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects with clients, architects, and other design team members.
Requirements:
- P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10-15 years of mechanical engineering experience in the consulting industry.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
- Detailed engineering experience with mechanical systems, including equipment selection and design.
- Experience preparing specifications for equipment and associated systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Familiarity with REVIT and business development principles.
