Tatum by Randstad is recruiting for an Interim Accounting Manager to assist a growing and well-established construction company based in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting team (AP Clerk, AR Clerk, and Payroll Clerk), reconciling accounts, journal entry preparation, month-end close, AP/AR review, bank reconciliations, work-in-progress (WIP) and ensuring that the company complies with GAAP.
This 5 month engagement is an immediate need and the compensation range is $45/hr. to $55/hr. based on previous experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting functions (Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, WIP)
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet general ledger accounts, including fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, and prepaid expenses
- Prepare monthly analysis of Cost of Goods Sold, Gross Margins, and project profitability
- Perform variance analysis as needed
- Perform detail review of moderate to highly complex journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial statements and operational cost for comparison to budget and forecast
- Perform month/quarter-end close for 3 entities
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3 years of accounting management experience within a construction company
- Work-in-Progress (WIP) experience required
- Previous experience with Sage100 is preferred
- Must be able to work onsite
