Our Stamford based client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 4-6 years of experience to support their expanding organization. As a key member of their finance team, you will play a critical role in executing their finance and accounting mission.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, ideally in the healthcare industry. A Master’s in Accounting or CPA certification is strongly desired.
Hybrid schedule - with 3 days per week required in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and track sales, use, property, and real estate taxes with precision.
- Collaborate to file income taxes and ensure accuracy.
- Track and properly code non-AR related deposits.
- Review and maintain Fixed Asset Ledger and Subledger.
- Calculate and run fixed asset depreciation.
- Maintain Operating Lease Schedules under ASC 842.
- Track discrepancies and reconcile items until resolved.
- Record journal entries and assign accurate accounting classifications.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations.
- Drive continuous accounting process improvements.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of public or corporate accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Master’s in Accounting/CPA certification perferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with Excel functions: vlookups, pivots, index match, macros, etc.
- Proven ability to work independently and solve problems with creativity.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
