Senior Fund Accountant

EXCELLENT company looking to hire a Senior Fund and Trust Accountant with a robust accounting background, spanning both public and private sectors. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this hybrid role demands strong collaboration and independent work skills, along with effective time management, initiative, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

As the Senior Fund and Trust Accountant, this role will primarily focus on the accounting and reporting functions for the diverse entities managed by the Family Office. This includes Partnerships (Investment Funds), Trusts, and Operating Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile operating and investment transactions with precision and attention to detail
• Oversee management fee calculations and investor capital calls and distributions
• Prepare periodic financial reporting and investor statements, as well as assist in budget preparation for operating companies
• Utilize FIS Private Capital Suite (FKA Investran) to manage and analyze financial data
• Serve as a backup for other accounting team members and assist with special projects as needed
• Collaborate with the Assistant Controller on accounting projects for the Family Office
• Perform monthly reconciliations and procedures to ensure accurate annual reporting
• Ensure trust accounting methodology aligns with trust legal documents for accounting and reporting compliance
• Prepare trust distributions, trustee fees, and management fee calculations, as well as annual trust accounting reports

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in a private equity or family office setting
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficiency in FIS Private Capital Suite (FKA Investran) and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
