Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY :

Responsible with leading resolution of all levels of inquiries as well as the assignment of issues to various company individuals as needed. This position is considered the "front line" to guest and / or agency inquiries with direct responsibility and oversight for effective resolve to ensure retention and the increased propensity to travel. The Guest Relations Assistant provides direction and daily informational support on company-wide policies, practices and procedures both inter-departmentally and to outside Tauck travel partners. This position requires fluency in all Tauck Travel Products and assumes a facilitating collaborative role in this capacity.

Seasonal Position from March to November, Full Time (M-F, 9-5pm)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintains a collaborative role working with various colleagues across the organization to resolve guests and / or travel agent or travel agent issues that arise pre, post and on-tour
  • Responsible for directing and coaching Tauck Directors on any guest issues on tour, including emergency assistance, evacuation, illness / injury and / or tour membership evaluations
  • Provide knowledge and support for all inquiries related to Tauck's Protection Products. Resolves tour incident reports that may require evaluation and proper company response
  • Provides crisis assistance when required
  • Lead resolution of all levels of inquiries
  • Must perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree and two years related experience in customer service environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate the Tauck brand
  • Strong interest in travel and guest satisfaction
  • Demonstrate comfort in dealing with guest issues
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret inquiry issues
  • Proven effective problem solving techniques
  • Ability to organize and manage simultaneous projects with a strong attention to timeliness and detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
  • Proven abilities to function effectively in a teamwork environment with internal as well as external contacts
