Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Designer based in our Corpus Christi, Texas office.
The I&E Designer will work with our design team in the Corpus Christi, Texas office.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Designer for I/E discipline with ability to work independently.
- Design modifications of new and existing control systems, instrumentation, and power systems
- Provide I/E discipline leadership for assigned projects.
- Provide technical support, clarification and interpretation of task, code and standards requirements for all I/E design and drafting activities.
- Reviews assigned projects discipline deliverables for technical quality, accuracy, and compliance with Client standards.
- Determine discipline manpower requirements to support project budgets and schedule.
- Prepare project scope documents and installation standards.
- Providing estimates for engineering work.
- Reviewing and approving vendor documents
- Performing installation cost estimates.
- Providing construction support during installation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 7 - 12 years Instrument and Electrical Systems related design experience.
- Experience in the petroleum and/or chemical processing industry in a plant environment
- 3D Modeling experience is a plus.
- Degree in Instrument/Electrical a plus.
- Drafting/design and related coursework.
- Team player able to work effectively with other disciplines for successful completion of projects.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills are a must.
- Comfortable with fast-paced work environment. Quick learner.
- Able to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
- Take ownership of discipline design and be proactive in problem solving.
- Safety and detail focused.
- Adherence to quality, safety, schedule, and budget
- Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
