WORK OBJECTIVE: Performs intermediate level clerical accounting work for Taurus Holdings, Inc. Maintains petty cash, prepares bank deposits electronically, sort and sends invoices, distributes payroll. Assists with auditors as requested. Maintains and prepares monthly reports. Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude. Position exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.

The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position. * Assists with accounts receivables and collections * Prepares checks and calls vendors as needed to reconcile inconsistencies * Sends out customer invoices, enters payments into the system, and calls customers to address open invoices or issues * Assists with processing checks received from customers on a daily basis * Distributes and files invoices and other paperwork; reconciles invoices * Distributes petty cash when needed; reconciles monthly or bi-monthly * Opens mail on a daily basis * Orders accounting supplies as needed * Assists the controller, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as needed; assists employees with accounting questions * Assists with auditors as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) or more years’ administrative support and customer service experience, preferably in an accounting department; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures * Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices and reporting of financial data TAURUS HOLDINGS, INC. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station and extended periods of time standing and/or walking.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Tasks are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity. Some tasks may involve identifying and distinguishing colors.
