With over 40 years of experience and continued education Tax Pro Buddy Inc, has earned the title of Certified Tax Return Preparer and Enrolled Agent. Like lawyers and CPAs, enrolled agents have certain unrestricted practice privileges, allowing them to represent any taxpayer, handle various tax issues, and represent clients before any IRS office.
We are looking for a high energy, self-motivated individual for our Bookkeeper / Tax Accountant FULL-TIME position for our fast-growing tax office. The position is immediate.
The ideal candidate will have background bookkeeping, tax office experience, full-cycle accounting, financial statements, 1099, payroll reporting, tax deadline experience or enrolled in any of the following courses: accounting, business administration, and taxation. Candidates will be required to use Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, other office software is a plus.
This role will require strong communication skills, client relations management, data entry and strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Desktop and Online. This will will prepare bank reconciliations and produce financial statements for tax preparation.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial records and transactions
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping and maintain accurate ledgers
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for financial data entry and reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Conduct account analysis to ensure financial compliance and accuracy
Experience
- Proven experience in governmental accounting, accounting principles, and technical accounting
- Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping methods
- Familiarity with QuickBooks software
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and reporting standards
- Ability to perform payroll duties efficiently
- Skilled in account analysis for financial accuracy
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles such as GAAP
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks
- Ability to perform double entry bookkeeping and journal entries accurately
- Previous tax experience and knowledge of financial concepts
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
