Overview
CASE MANAGER - Serve as our tax resolution clients' main point of contact, coordinating with our tax professionals to keep clients informed, current, and up to date on their tax compliance and documents. The Tax Professionals are given all the information they require by the Case Managers to decide on the best course of action for their customers. Like a paralegal, our Case Managers mostly serve as a liaison, gathering paperwork, analyzing situations, and discussing strategy and criteria with tax experts.
Duties The Case Manager is primarily responsible for preparing a financial analysis for each case and providing it to the assigned attorney/Enrolled Agent to utilize for the client’s tax resolution case.
- Analyze financial situation and make sound decisions based on information provided by the clients and the Tax Agencies
- Contact clients via phone, email, regular mail, and in person to request documentation or other necessary information to verify taxpayer’s income, expenses, and assets.
- Conduct financial analysis of taxpayer’s income, expenses, and assets.
- Manage and Prioritize Cases depending on the complexity and quantity
- Provide updates to attorneys and enrolled agents regarding client’s resolution details.
- Work alongside other departments to ensure a smooth process for all parties.
- Read and Understand transcripts (preferred)
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proficiency in technical accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with Xero or similar financial software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of various accounting software applications.
- Knowledge of financial concepts including debits, credits, accounts payable, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Problem-solving skills to address client needs creatively and effectively.
