Taxing Authority Consulting Services, P.C. is a Virginia law firm with a focus in its practice to serve only government entities in managing accounts receivable, tax assessments, and the general revenue cycle. Our firm’s extensive experience in collection, bankruptcy, and assessment matters offers our clients full-service representation related to their receivables.
Qualifications:
Collections Specialist are needed to assist our local government clients through interactions and communication with taxpayers and to research data. Candidates should be motivated self-starters, well organized, able to multi-task and willing to work in a busy team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and respond to collection customer inquiries, email or chat, in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete outbound calls or complete daily assigned worklist.
- Ability to help settle debts and establish a payment plan.
- Document all customer interactions in the database accurately.
- Problem-solving and de-escalating conflict abilities over the phone.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma / GED required.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, tools, and technologies.
- Detail oriented.
- Computer literacy including MS Office and related applications.
- Ability to work with a team and independently.
- Flexible work schedule Mon-Fri between hours of 8:30a-6:30p.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
