About The Job:
Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd seeks an Associate with significant business/commercial litigation experience as well as, ideally, substantive experience with product liability and other complex torts. This position requires work as part of a litigation team while independently handling a diverse array of complex and challenging cases for non-insurance company clients.

Responsibilities:
- Research and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memorandums.
- Receive new cases and provide an evaluation of claims, including a proposed litigation strategy.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery. This includes the ability to take depositions in preparation for trial and examinations under oath.
- Ability to litigate pre-trial motions.
- Prepare for and represent clients through mediation and trial, including jury trials.
- General file management, including meeting client and court deadlines.
Experience:
- Member of Florida Bar (required)
- Member of Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts (preferred)
- 3-6 years of substantive business/commercial litigation (required)
- Experience with breach of contract disputes, fraud, shareholder disputes, trade secret litigation and consumer protection statutes (preferred)
- Experience with complex torts including product liability resulting in catastrophic injury or wrongful death (asset)
License: Licensed to practice law within the State of Florida (required)
