What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Loader position at Taylor Farms California, Inc.?
· Must be able to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis.
· Must consistently ensure that the pre-loading trailer inspection is done and the sheet is properly completed in its entirely BEFORE loading begins.
· Appropriately place and record data for in-transit Temperature monitoring control devices.
· Communicate with the driver & dispatch on specific loading instructions.
· Must fill out any necessary information on pick ticket, which includes how many pallets are loaded, location placement, identify missing product, and if applicable - who authorized any subs or cuts based on product availability.
· Communicate Staging Schematic with Dispatchers in the event that Drop Trailers are unavailable.
· Must fill out trailer schematic for pallet positions – includes cases per pallet and where
· Communicate with Dispatchers or Supervisor on any missing product
· Turn in paperwork accurately to Dispatcher
· Utilize FIFO or specific date codes where applicable for specific customer requirements.
· Accurately scan product in and out of location using scan guns, verify correct quantities.
· Must communicate safety and mechanical problems as they arise.
· Fill out daily forklift inspection reports
· Safely operate Stand-up or Sit-Down electric forklifts as required
· Must be able to handle continuous lifting of Produce boxes in order to build, stack, and secure finished pallets, prior to loading these into trailers for outbound pickup.
· Be able to follow instructions, procedures and company policies.
· Must be able to load 275 case an hour average or better in a refrigerated environment
