Summary
We are seeking a Document Controller to join our team at Taylor Fire Protection Services. This role is essential for maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Document Controller will play a key role in supporting our operational excellence and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain project deliverables and record management systems.
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of turnover and closeout packages.
- Support the management of functional checkout and commissioning documentation.
- Implement and maintain version control and rendition control procedures.
- Oversee document creation, distribution, and copy control processes.
- Evaluate project-related information using established procedures.
- Utilize appropriate technologies to support specific project requirements.
- Execute special projects as assigned.
- Respond to information requests and coordinate the filing of deliverable-related data.
- Organize and file project documentation.
- Perform document reproduction tasks including copying, scanning, and printing.
- Attend project meetings as required.
- Coordinate tasks to meet project schedules and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental or company objectives.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Prior experience in engineering document control within the oil and gas industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SharePoint navigation and management is preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software tools.
