Mandarin speaking skill is a huge plus due to close communication with HQ office.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Supply Chain Strategy:
- Develop and implement end-to-end logistics strategies for storage, transportation, and distribution.
- Establish cost-effective and scalable logistics models to support business growth.
Storage & Transportation Management:
- Oversee warehouse and inventory management, ensuring proper storage and handling of solar products.
- Manage domestic and international transportation, optimizing routes and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely and efficient shipment planning to meet customer and production demands.
Import Compliance:
- Manage import operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Work closely with customs authorities and logistics partners to streamline clearance processes.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to import/export restrictions, tariffs, and duties.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Build strong relationships with freight forwarders, shipping companies, customs brokers, and warehouse operators.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize cost, speed, and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, production, sales) to align logistics with business needs.
Performance & Continuous Improvement:
- Track key logistics KPIs (delivery times, costs, inventory accuracy) and drive continuous improvements.
- Implement digital tools and automation to enhance logistics efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- A proven track record in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, ideally in solar, renewables, or any manufacturing industries.
- Can do attitude. Confident to join as the first logistics professional in North America.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs clearance, and trade compliance.
- Experience in warehouse and inventory management, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with global logistics providers.
- Strong communication skills.
