Taylor’s Crossing Public Charter School is looking to hire a full-time paraprofessionals for special education for the remaining 2024-2025 school year. QUALIFICATIONS
1. At least two years of college‑level coursework, an Associate’s Degree in education or related field or a para praxis exam required.
2. Previous aide or school experience preferred
3. Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate classroom practices
4. Knowledge of subject matters and ability to instruct students at the direction of the teacher
5. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
6. Works well with students, staff, and the public
7. Excellent organizational skills
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
9. Able to work under pressure and deadlines
10. Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY TO
Building Principal and Special Education Director
JOB SUMMARY
To work under the direction of the Building Principal and Special Education Director in achieving the educational goals and objectives of all students whole group instruction.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with Students
1. Maintain high academic standards and expectations
2. Assist with such large group activities
3. Encourage students to strive to meet their highest potential
4. Communicate classroom rules and encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
5. Help students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by teacher
6. Identify pupil needs and provide instruction appropriate to those needs
7. Follow modifications and accommodations as specified in Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be considered in all respects “employment at will”.
