Opportunity :
TAYS is seeking a Senior Telecommunication Specialist to join our dynamic team! The Senior Telecommunication Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations that provide technical support and expertise for the Wireless Telephone Systems. You will be responsible for 6,000 devices including cell phones, MiFi, smartphones, and data cards all across the country. You will be responsible for inventory, record keeping, researching new technologies, usage and future needs, and troubleshooting help tickets as they come in.
This is a Full-Time position with a remote schedule. However, the Sr Telecommunications specialist must reside within 2 hours of Woodlawn, MD
Primary Responsibilities :
- Comprehensive understanding of Voice services to include VoIP, telephone lines, audio conference bridges and toll-free numbers
- Troubleshoot help tickets as they come in ensuring response within 24 hours of ticket receival and end user satisfaction
- Maintain and track inventory utilizing database to include end of life / obsolete equipment and scheduling refreshment of said equipment
- Keep up with industry standards and changes to ensure organization is utilizing best technology available to fit business needs
- Interact with vendor management to determine and resolve customer issues
- Use database information to extract reports on monthly operational, revenue and cost metrics
- Monitor, measure, and report on project progress to management, vendors, and clients, including presentations
- Knowledge and application of project management best practices
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Experience with formal presentations to team members and management
- Documenting and maintaining procedural and process instructions
