TCRC, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides services and support for persons in Tazewell and other area counties, helping individuals to achieve as much independence as possible. We Care, the long-time rural transportation provider in Tazewell and Woodford counties, is a part of the TCRC family. We currently have a full-time Director of Transportation position open.
The Director of Transportation is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of We Care transportation programs. The successful candidate will join the team that is responsible for transporting area residents to various destinations in an efficient, safe and courteous manner. Supervise drivers, office staff and maintenance staff. Provide training for new and current staff. Oversee all safety programs for transportation. Work to ensure that the appropriate details for grants and funding are clearly and accurately communicated to responsible parties.
This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma. Bachelor's Degree, or a correspondence course graduate or equivalent on transportation logistics or program management is desirable. A knowledge of a detailed transportation program and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial. Interested applicants must have a valid driver's license, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, up to date personal automobile insurance coverage (as defined in the TCRC Personnel Policies) and be able to operate all vehicles in the fleet. This individual must meet TCRC's and Illinois Department of Transportation's driving criteria. Must be able to pass criminal and other background checks.
