HR Generalist (Washington, D.C. near Dupont Circle)
About the Position:
A dynamic organization is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to support its human resources functions, including employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, talent management, and performance processes. This role will report to the senior leadership in HR and play a crucial role in fostering a people-centered culture within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This position requires being in the office five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with employees to address HR inquiries, onboarding, and exit processes.
- Oversee payroll operations and act as the point of contact for related issues.
- Manage HRIS to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
- Administer and oversee benefit programs, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Handle talent acquisition and management, including recruitment and onboarding.
- Guide performance management processes and total rewards tracking.
- Lead HR projects and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2 years of progressive HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems (ADP WorkforceNow preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Experience in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.
