Consumer Products Manufacturer based in Nassau/Queens Border is seeking a Hybrid Payroll Analyst to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate has 3 years of processing payroll for a large organization. The payroll specialist will oversee all payroll functions, from collecting timesheets to issuing paychecks. Additionally, this individual will assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Hybrid: Mon, Thurs and Fri (Remote), Tues and Wed (office)

The position is paying up to $85K and the company is looking to hire ASAP.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
- Report and fund HSA and 401(k) contributions to service providers.
- Collect and verify timekeeping data for accuracy.
- Maintain current payroll information in both internal and external systems.
- Record outsourced payroll transactions in the accounting system.
- Manage certified payroll reporting, insurance payroll reporting, and audits.
- Support project accounting staff with monthly payroll documentation for billing.
- Ensure employee confidentiality and protect payroll operations.
- Address payroll-related questions and issues from employees and management.
- Gather information for six-month, year-end, workers' compensation, and 401(k) audits.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by accounting supervisors.
- Act as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Calculate pay, including adjustments for leave and overtime, and process taxes and deductions.
- Handle data entry, scanning, and maintain an organized payroll office.
- Process periodic payments, such as garnishments and child support, through A/P requests or online portals.
- Issue pay statements, mail paper checks, and prepare W-2 forms.
- Maintain comprehensive employee personnel and I-9 files.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports as required.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or Professional Payroll Certification.
- 2-4 years of payroll experience.
- Familiarity with Workday software.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Commitment to payroll best practices and regulations.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Additional bookkeeping skills are a plus.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
