Company Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to contribute to our financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monthly Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- General Ledger Review: Review and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Audit & Fieldwork: Conduct and oversee audit and fieldwork activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Respond to Stakeholder Inquiries: Address and resolve inquiries from stakeholders, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze financial variances and provide insights to management for corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- Construction Industry Experience: A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
- US GAAP Knowledge: Strong familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- CPA Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree: An advanced degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Experience with accounting software and other financial tools.
