This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the project development lifecycle for energy infrastructure. The Director will build and lead a team of professionals and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. This role reports into the Chief Development Officer.Responsibilities : Strategic Planning : Develop and implement a comprehensive project development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.Project Initiation : Identify and assess potential projects, evaluating their feasibility, profitability, and alignment with company objectives.Team Leadership : Lead and manage a team of project development professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and community groups.Financial Analysis : Provide informed inputs to our CFO organization for financial analysis of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk assessment.Permitting and Approvals : Build a permitting matrix and oversee the permitting and approval process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Contract Negotiation : Negotiate contracts with suppliers, contractors, and other parties involved in the project that supports pre-FID work.Project Oversight : Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take corrective action as needed.Quality Assurance : Ensure that projects meet high standards of quality and adhere to best practices.Reporting : Prepare regular reports on project status, financial performance, and key metrics.Experience : Minimum 8 years of experience in project development, preferably in the energy and infrastructure sector.Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to pre-FID.Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Deep understanding of the project development lifecycle and industry best practices.Ability to analyze financial data and make sound business decisions.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.Additional Experience : Prior experience with DOE LPOPMP certificationAdvanced degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.Six Sigma CertificationEstimated Starting Salary Range : The estimated starting salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis.
