The opportunity
The Team Leader will provide active field leadership to ensure company policies and Construction Services practices and procedures are followed with the additional focus of leveraging best practices across the region.
The incumbent will ensure consistent compliance with applicable codes, procedures, policies, and regulations, meets/coordinates activities with contractors, government agencies, landowners, vendors, and others and evaluates employee performance and provides feedback.
The successful individual will possess demonstrated leadership with a history of influencing and motivating core staff, line management, and contractors that result in positive outcomes.
This position requires frequent travel up to (50%) in support of pipeline construction activities and is not eligible for overtime pay.
What you'll do

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership abilities and facilitative leadership skills
Minimum10 years of related experience in Pipeline and Civil Construction specifically
Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstrated ability understand blueprints, alignment sheets
Proficient in use of PC; willingness to use and learn current and future systems/applications
Knowledge of natural gas (overall energy) industry
Understanding of transmission/storage operations, equipment usage and strategic value
Working knowledge of applicable codes, procedures, policies, and regulations
Project management and process improvement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or operational experience in lieu of a degree
Technical or trades certification
Technical operational expertise preferred in one or more of the following areas: corrosion and pipeline; compression and gas conditioning; automation and electrical; storage; pipeline safety and mapping; measurement and regulation; operations and maintenance; construction management; permitting/compliance regulations; project management and design.
This position requires candidates to:
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing
Travel frequently to other company locations for project execution, temporary assignments, meetings, or training which would involve overnight stays away from home.
