Responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the day-to-day operations of a warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods, preparing orders, and ensuring that inventory is maintained accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving Goods:
- Unload and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Check and verify the quantity and quality of items received against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Label and store products in their correct locations within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management:
- Organize products to maximize space and maintain an orderly warehouse.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist in cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipping based on customer orders or distribution needs.
- Use inventory management systems to track orders and ensure timely processing.
- Ensure the correct labeling and documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Material Handling:
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Safely move and store materials and products within the warehouse.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when needed.
- Shipping & Receiving:
- Prepare and verify shipping labels and documentation for outbound shipments.
- Assist with coordinating transportation for outbound goods, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse policies to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, including the proper disposal of waste and broken pallets.
- Ensure that all products are handled in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and to meet deadlines.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with inventory, equipment, or shipments to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus, mattress handling preferred
- Forklift certification (if applicable) or the ability to obtain certification.
- Skills:
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more, depending on the role).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- May involve the use of warehouse machinery and tools.
- Regular lifting of items weighing 50-100 lbs, with occasional heavier items.
Work Environment:
- Typically works in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Must adhere to all safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

- Schedule: Full-time/Overtime as needed.
