The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Student Services Coordinator at the Dickson Campus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. A comparable combination of education and post-secondary employment experience may be considered.
Minimum of five (5) years of full-time employment in education, business or industry.
Established ability to effectively supervise, instruct and coordinate the work of others.
Working knowledge of the principles, philosophy, techniques, and methods of technical education and individualized instruction.
Ability to deal tactfully with the public and co-workers.
Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
Ability to communicate well on a functional level both verbally and in written form.
Working knowledge and/or ability to accurately interpret Tennessee Board of Regents policies and guidelines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and federal/state financial aid programs a plus.
SKILLS
Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills utilizing a wide variety of software applications including, but not limited to: databases, spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, social media, emergency notification systems, etc.
Ability to foster communication between multiple campuses and departments and build/maintain high-functioning teams.
Must be willing to remain current in regulations and legal issues relating to higher education.
GENERAL DUTIES: The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the department at the Dickson and Clarksville campuses including, but not limited to: financial aid, student records, student counseling, job placement, admissions and recruiting. This position oversees and participates in the compilation, maintenance and submission of reports as required by federal, state and accrediting agencies. The Student Services Coordinator also oversees enrollment of dual enrollment students from area high schools, updates student catalogs/handbooks and college literature, assists with accreditation activities for the college, coordinates and conducts new student orientations, assists with Perkins Grant submissions/recordkeeping, processes student ADA accommodation requests, coordinates and participates in graduation ceremonies at all campus locations, provides high quality customer service to current and prospective students, and performs other duties as assigned. Travel to all campus locations will be required on a regular basis. This full-time position reports to the President and is based at the Dickson Campus. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is not a remote work position.
SALARY: $50,494-$65,647 per year ($25.89-$33.67 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology guidelines and directly related experience and education.
